Does everyone still want to plan a beach Thanksgiving trip or is Roanoke looking better and better? A friend recommended these two places. Any thoughts?
The Tides Inn gets my vote if you guys don't do it in Roanoke only because it is closer to Richmond...selfish I know, but Brian has to work on Thanksgiving and it is more likely we will both make it the closer it is to Richmond. They are both beautiful! Thanks for doing the research! Love you, Lynn:-)
I remember The Tides Inn from living in Saluda - brings back lots of memories. I would love to go with you guys for Thanksgiving, but honestly, with the Snead situation as it is, I don't know if we can travel. Eloise is not well and Ben will likely stay close by for the holiday. However, depending on what we choose to do, who knows? Thanks for your research, Livi!
Talk about bringing back memories. I went to 1st - 4th grade with a boy who's family owned the Tides Inn back in the day. Thinking back now he had blonde hair and was reaaaaaaaaally cute! I wonder if his family still owns it? It would be fun to go site seeing and show the young 'uns where we grew up, Saluda and Syringa.
